This passion project is special to me as each hero is representative of my elementary school friends from 5th grade. I made a promise to them and myself that I would do whatever it takes to bring this series to life. In addition to this meaningful Easter egg, Team Optic has over time become is a grounded superhero story that focuses on real world turmoil and corruption and makes references to meaningful life lessons as the plot progresses. This universe takes place modern day and while the series may have some fantasy elements to it, I have been doing my best to stray away from the idea of sought-after pop culture tropes like alien invasions, immortal beings, and so on. I aspire to have a universe that is refreshing and uniquely different than the rest.
